Screen sharing settings
The Screen sharing section of the Expert console settings allows you to configure view options and set permissions for text and file transfers via clipboard and drag and drop. You can configure the following settings:
- Clipboard sharing: manage file and text sharing via the clipboard.
- Disabled: select this option to prevent data exchange with the remote device via the clipboard.
- Bidirectional: select this option to allow data exchange with the remote device via the clipboard in both directions.
- Local to remote: select this option to allow data transfer only from your clipboard to the remote device.
- Remote to local: select this option to allow data transfer only from the remote clipboard to your device.
- Drag and drop: manage file and text sharing via drag and drop.
- Disabled: select this option to prevent file exchange with the remote device via drag and drop.
- Bidirectional: select this option to allow file exchange with the remote device via drag and drop in both directions.
- Local to remote: select this option to allow file transfer only from your device to the remote device.
- Remote to local: select this option to allow file transfer only from the remote device to your device.
- Image quality: manage the image quality of your screen as seen by remote users.
- High Speed: select this option to use 8-bit color to minimize latency when working with your screen.
- Optimal Speed/Quality: select this option to use 16-bit color for an optimal balance between latency and image quality.
- High Quality: select this option to use 24-bit color so that remote users can see your screen in the greatest detail.
- Hide the remote computer's background image: select this option to hide the background image on your desktop during screen sharing.
