SetMe's licensing explained

SetMe is available in two pricing plans, Professional and Ultimate, that offer the same set of features. The only difference between the available plans is their available unattended machine limit. With Professional plan, you're able to maintain up to 500 unattended machines. With Ultimate plan, you're able to maintain an unlimited number of unattended machines. With both plans, SetMe's licensing model is based on the number of purchased seats which are assigned to users (techs) who will be able to connect to remote computers. 

SetMe Professional Plan

SetMe Professional is ideally suited to the needs of businesses that don't expect to manage more than 500 unattended machines. 

SetMe Ultimate Plan

SetMe Ultimate delivers unlimited unattended access capabilities. This plan is designed for organizations that need to manage more than 1000 unattended computers.

How SetMe seats work

Both SetMe plans allow you to create and maintain an unlimited number of users on your account. However, the number of purchased seats determines the maximum number of users on your team (techs) who will be able to connect to remote computers. In other words, only users with assigned seats will be able to access SetMe's Expert console and connect to remote computers. 

Example:

You've purchased 6 seats and created 9 users. In this case, only 6 out of the 9 total users can be assigned a seat to access SetMe's Expert console and connect to remote computers.

Seats can be easily reassigned on the go between users if/when needed through SetMe's web portal.

Users with an assigned seat

Users who have been assigned a seat can do the following:

Users without an assigned seat

You can create an unlimited number of users on your account without having to assign each user a seat. Users without an assigned seat have full access to SetMe's web portal where they can view/edit reports, create/edit users and permissions, manage the subscription and billing.

Therefore it's not necessary to purchase and assign seats for users who will be handling strictly administrative tasks such as managing reports or the billing account.

Reassigning seats

Available seats can be reassigned at any time to grant a specific user access to the Expert console or disable another user's access to the Expert console. For more information see Create and manage users article.

Changing number of seats

You can change the number of seats on your subscription at any time to either increase or decrease the number of users who can access the Expert console and work with remote computers. For more information see Manage your subscription article.
