End a support session
A support session can be ended in two ways:
- From your computer: Click the End session button on the Session Panel. The session is removed from the Session list, and a standard message is displayed on the remote computer.
- From the remote computer: Close the SetMe Client application. In the SetMe Expert console, the session remains in your list with a Closed status.
Once a session is closed, it is fully terminated and cannot be resumed. You can edit the session name and add notes for closed sessions in the Reports section.
When you sign out or close the SetMe Expert console, all open support sessions are automatically ended.
If your computer goes to sleep, all active support sessions remain connected. After your computer wakes up, you can continue working with these sessions.
If your computer remains in sleep mode for an extended period, active sessions will automatically close after 72 hours.
Closing the remote desktop does not end the session. You can connect to the remote desktop multiple times during a support session.
