General settings
The General settings section of the Expert Console settings allows you to customize application behavior, session preferences, and data storage. You can configure the following settings:
File Location
- File location: Specify the folder where video recordings and screenshots created during remote sessions are saved.
Remote desktop
- Open the remote desktop window on this display: select the display on which the remote desktop window will open by default. This setting is only available on systems with multiple displays.
- Automatically hide toolbar in the remote desktop window: select this option to automatically hide the remote desktop toolbar in full-screen mode.
- Automatically start video recording upon connecting to the remote desktop: select this option to enable automatic video recording when connecting to a remote desktop.
- Automatically open the remote desktop window in full screen mode when possible: select this option to automatically switch the remote desktop window to full-screen mode for optimal viewing of the remote device. If this option is disabled, the remote desktop window automatically switches to maximized mode for optimal viewing.
- Clipboard isolation: choose how you want to share your clipboard when connected to multiple remote desktops simultaneously:
- Share clipboard with currently active session (recommended): select this option to share your clipboard only with the currently active remote desktop. To paste the same files or objects in another remote desktop, you need to activate it (by clicking its window) and then copy the files or objects again. This prevents files intended for one remote user from being accidentally pasted into another desktop.
- Share clipboard across all sessions: select this option to share your clipboard with all connected remote desktops. Use this option if you frequently need to move the same files or objects to multiple remote desktops.
- Share clipboard with currently active session (recommended): select this option to share your clipboard only with the currently active remote desktop. Default session options
- Open remote desktop on session start: select this option to automatically connect to the remote desktop when a remote session starts.
Unattended list settings
- Show confirmation dialog when connecting to unattended devices: select this option to display a confirmation prompt when connecting to an unattended device.
