Access settings

This feature is available in the SetMe Professional edition and higher.

Access settings define which users within your organization can view, connect to, edit, or delete unattended devices. Use these settings to grant access on a per-device basis, following the principle of least privilege and adapting to your organization's workflow.

These settings can be configured by the device owner or by users with the appropriate permissions.

  • In the Professional edition, configuration is available to the owner or to users with the Administrator role.
  • In the Business edition and higher, configuration is available to the owner or to any user explicitly granted the Manage.
You cannot share access to unattended devices with users outside your current subscription plan.

The available configuration tiers depend on your subscription plan:

Basic Access (Professional edition)

For each unattended device, you can select one of two access modes:

  • Private: Access is limited to the device owner and explicitly authorized users.
  • Public: Access is granted to all technical users (agents) within your company.

Advanced Access (Business edition and higher)

For each unattended device, you can configure granular permissions for specific users and user groups, allowing or restricting specific actions. This tier also allows you to define and assign global access policies for all unattended devices company-wide.
